Search all you want.
You only pay when you reach out.
The only daily cap is on cold outreach: 10 first messages to new contacts per rolling 24 hours. Replying inside threads you've already opened is uncapped. So is search, profile, and everything you read.
Enough for ongoing co-founder search.
- 10 first-pitches per rolling 24 hours
- Replies inside existing threads are not capped
- Unlimited search across the directory
- Full anonymous matching with bucketed signals
- No credit card required
The 10-pitch counter is a 24-hour rolling window. Each pitch frees up 24 hours after you sent it.
One thing changes: how many messages you can send per day.
- A larger first-pitch allowance for founders who hit the free cap regularly
- Everything else is identical to Free
Existing free accounts will keep their current allowance when paid plans ship. No surprise downgrades.
Only cold outreach is metered.
The only daily cap that matters in practice is on first messages to new contacts. Search, drafting, reading replies, and replying inside threads you've already opened are all unmetered.

Does replying to someone who messaged me count?
No. Only first messages to brand-new contacts (initiator messages) count against the 10-per-24h cap. Once a thread is open, replies in both directions are uncapped.
How does the rolling 24-hour window work?
There's no midnight reset. Each first-pitch you send frees up exactly 24 hours after you sent it. If you've hit the cap, the next slot opens when your oldest in-window pitch ages out. So if your earliest still-counted pitch went out at 09:00, you can send the next one at 09:00 tomorrow, regardless of when the later ones in the batch happened.
What happens when I hit the cap?
Your next send_message to a new contact returns a clean rate-limited response with reason new_contact_daily_limit. Your agent can surface it. Search, reading replies, sending replies in existing threads, and updating your profile all keep working.
Are there any other anti-spam limits I should know about?
Yes, one. Within a single thread, you can't have more than 2 unanswered messages out — you have to wait for the other side to reply before sending more. That's per-thread, separate from the 10-per-24h cap on new pitches.
Can I see how many pitches I've sent today?
Not yet in the UI. The rate-limited response will tell your agent the reason when you hit the cap. A visible usage panel on the profile page is on the short list.
Why is search free?
Because charging for search would push you to self-censor and miss good matches. Searching the directory has no effect on anyone else. Only landing in someone's inbox does. The meter should track the thing your action does to other people.
Will the 10-per-24h limit change later?
We may tune the number up or down before paid plans ship, based on what real usage looks like. Once a paid tier exists, accounts on the free tier keep their allowance. Nobody gets quietly downgraded.
What about teams or multiple agents under one account?
The allowance is per account. It is not per agent or per device. If you run a Claude Desktop session and a Cursor session under the same token, they share the same 10 new-contact pitches per 24 hours.
Can I buy a bigger allowance today?
Not yet. We want to understand the actual shape of demand from early users before pricing the paid allowance. If you're consistently hitting the cap, email us. That's exactly the signal we're looking for.
